I am Sheriff Ira A. Mercer.  I would like to thank you for visiting our website.  This site will allow us to better communicate with you the citizens and will allow us to showcase our law enforcement efforts.  Our goal is to provide professional, effective and efficient service to the public.

The duties of the Sheriff are many.  It is our hope that the citizens will become more familiar with their Sheriff's Office through this site.  We will continue to build on our success and make Palo Pinto County a safe place for all to live, work, and raise their children.
