Detention Division

The Detention Division operates the Palo Pinto County Jail.  Detention Officers are responsible for booking in and out all persons arrested and brought to the county jail, as well as maintaining the security of the facility.

Besides the mass of paperwork to contend with operating the jail, the Detention staff provide for the welfare and feeding of all inmates. Security of the facility also includes special health care watches on certain inmates.

Control Room

In 2011 the Palo Pinto County Jail went through a technology upgrade with a new Jail Board from Montgomery Technology Inc.  The original jail board was built by MTI and placed into operation in 1990-1991 when the expansion of the Palo Pinto County Jail went from 43 beds to 142 beds.  This new system makes the operation of the control room more efficient.  In turn the system upgraded our intercom system along with fire control. In 2008 the jail went through a upgrade of the camera system adding DVR's and a total of 48 camera's through out the jail and outside of the Law Enforcement Center.  This work was done by Guardian Security.  The new MTI system also enabled the jail to integrate with the Guardian system to assist in the operations of the jail in surveillance and secruity of the LEC.
